2017-18 FAITH FORMATION NEWS (formerly known as Sunday School)
From the desk of your Coordinators of Faith Formation:
...most things will be staying the same with Faith Formation.  The exception is that we will be starting out each Faith Formation session in the Fellowship Hall with large group music time. We will be taking the first 10-15 minutes of Faith Formation time to learn and sing children’s Christian songs after which the kids will go to their classrooms with their teachers for the lesson.  Faith Formation classes will still run from 9:40-10:30 as they have in the past.
When is the first day of Faith Formation?
The first day of Faith Formation class is September 10, 2017.  More details about the first day will be communicated in the coming weeks.
For all children entering 3K through 5th grade this fall- please turn in a completed Faith Formation registration form ASAP!  Registration forms can be picked up and returned to the bulletin board outside Anna’s office. (GET REGISTRATION FORM HERE).
If you have any questions or concerns about the upcoming Faith Formation year, please connect with us! We look forward to growing in faith with you!
Brightest Blessings,

Coming this fall—'Little Lambs' Preschool class
Starting this fall is a new faith-growing opportunity for our 3 year olds- a preschool Faith Formation class designed just for them!  The kids will learn about the Bible and Jesus’ love for them through activities, games, songs and crafts. “Little Lambswill begin September 10 and run each week during the normal Faith Formation class time- 9:40-10:30. If you have any questions, please contact Anna Reinhold.
Faith Formation Volunteers Needed
Planning for a fun 2017-2018 Faith Formation year is in full swing!  We are still looking for some volunteers to help with Faith Formation and Confirmation for next year—3K through 9th grade! Teaching or helping in the classroom is a wonderful opportunity for parents to get engaged in their child’s Faith Formation journey here at church.  It’s also a great way for our youth to get involved!  Volunteers are not expected to be here every week.  A rotation schedule will be set up to allow flexibility for our volunteers.  Sign up as a teacher or helper on the Faith Formation bulletin board outside Anna’s office.

Interested in helping out with Faith Formation behind the scenes? A Faith Formation team is being put in place to support the ministry in a variety of ways—sharing ideas for improving the Faith Formation program, helping set up classrooms, being a part of Christmas program and VBS planning and more!

If you have questions or would like more information about volunteering in the Faith Formation and Confirmation ministries, please connect with Anna Reinhold (Birth-5) or Brigetta Wingender (1st-9th grade).
