ChristCare Small Group Ministry

The Aim of our ChristCare Small Group Ministry at Prince of Peace is to provide an environment in which our members are transformed, filled with the presence of God and eager to share his presence and his message of love not only with their own group members but with others outside the group as well.

The Goal of our transformational ChristCare groups is to support the mission of Prince of Peace – A Family of Christians Growing in Faith and Reaching Out in Love. We reach up to God and out to those who need to hear God’s Word. This changes the face not only of the small group ministry, but of the wider church and the world as well.

Jesus was a small group leader. An essential part of Jesus’ ministry was to prepare a group of people to carry out his mission. The early Christians met in small groups and worshiped in members’ homes. Christ and the early Christians are a model for us. Our ChristCare Group ministry therefore, is a demonstration of how Christ wants us to work and to grow. We do so in the following ways:

  • Biblical Equipping and Prayer and Worship: Growth in Discipleship - studying God’s Word together and equipping ourselves to live as Christ did.
  • Community Building: Growth in Care - to be loving and accepting community where we tell our faith stories, share our struggles, and encourage one another.
  • Missional Service: Growth in Outreach- to reach out with Christ’s love to others inside and outside our groups and our church community.
