Helping Hands Outreach Team

Reaching out with hearts of love in times of joy and hours of need – connecting lives of all ages.
 
God’s amazing grace through Christ Jesus calls us to respond with love for others as individuals and as a community of faith.  The Helping Hands Outreach purpose is to build connections among POP members by providing assistance for aging challenges and those who are experiencing a time of special need in the following ways:

Transportation 
A person needing a ride for worship services, doctor appointments, shopping and other small errands.

Meals
Meals will be provided for Prince of Peace members in times of special needs.

Visitation
Volunteers reaching out to Prince of Peace members with spiritual and personal connections on a short term or on-going basis.

Worship Recordings and Visitation
Members who desire visits to receive a Sunday’s worship packet can call the Team Leaders. The worship packet will include CD recording of the complete service, weekly bulletin and announcements, Home Touch flyer, and other items.

Education
Educational and community speakers offered during the school year. Topics will include community resources, life and health issues, etc.

Fix It
Helping members with small repairs and odd jobs around the house.

Knitting or crocheting prayer shawls to be given to people in our parish or community.
