Midweek Lenten Soup Suppers
March 23 | March 30 | April 6 • 5 - 6 pm
The Prince of Peace Women of the ELCA resumed their soup suppers prior to the midweek evening Lenten services on Wednesday, March 23 in the Fellowship Hall! If you feel so moved to contribute any food to the suppers, or to volunteer to help with set-up or clean-up, there are sign-up sheets on the WELCA bulletin board in the Narthex.
We are excited to be able to offer these suppers again after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic!
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday evenings at 5 pm for food and fellowship!
Holy Vessels: A Lenten Season of Healing
Midweek Wednesday Evenings | March 9 - April 6 • 6:15pmEach of us is created a precious and holy vessel of embodied love. We have been through all kinds of changes in the last couple of years. We may feel like a glass vessel fractured into pieces, and so we continue to seek healing and wholeness.
In this Lenten series, we will reflect on healing through the stories of Jesus Christ in the gospel of Matthew. These stories tell us of divine solidarity with human suffering and remind us that we can begin a journey toward making something beautiful from that which seems broken.
At church, you will receive a piece of colored glass for the healing prayer of the week. There are also two resources you can use during your Lenten Journey:
- Weekly HEALING PRAYERS that invite you to use your piece of glass as you meditate on the prayer.
- Weekly REFLECTION PAGES for you to write about how the topic touches your life.
