2023-2024 Confirmation Registration FormConfirmation Handbook

Hello Confirmation Students and Families!

If you haven't already done so, please register your youth for Confirmation, which kicked off on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023.

Confirmation Wednesdays run from 5:30-7:05 pm in-person each week. Join us in the Fellowship Hall at 5:30 pm for a Grilled Cheese meal, then classes begin at 6 pm with Large Group lessons, with Pastor Roger and Pastor Jennifer alternating teaching the Large Group topic of the week. After that, we dismiss to smaller groups (with mentors this Spring 2024 semester) for further discussion as well as time to connect and share. Continuing from last year, there will be a Large Group Closing from 7-7:05 pm. And like last year, we will NOT be offering a virtual option this year.

If you are interested in being a part of our Confirmation Leader contingency, walking alongside our Confirmation students in the part of their faith journey, please reach out to the pastors or to our Youth Ministry Coordinator, Barbara Ekern! There are opportunities to volunteer as a Small Group Leader, Service Project Helper, or Faith Mentor. This is a great opportunity to help our students expand their faith web, and to build a lifelong faith-based connection!!

We are looking forward to another great year of Confirmation as we learn and grow together in God's teachings!

Confirmation Students Had a BLAST at Last Weekend's Retreat!

Our Confirmation youth returned to Appleton this past Sunday, Nov. 5 after an incredibly fun and faith-filled weekend at Confirmation Retreat, "Jr. High Blast," at Imago Dei Village.

The retreat included ice breaker games, team-building activities, worship, campfires, Bible studies, Servant Projects of making Veteran's Day cards and raking leaves, and lots of outdoor play time.

Thank you to our PoP member volunteer chaperones, John and Claire Robertson, who accompanied Barbara and our 7 Confirmation students who joined the approximately 50 kids in total from churches all over the area for the retreat.

A photo video montage that Barbara put together will be shown in the Narthex following both worship services this Sunday. Come take a peek and see the fun things our youth took part in last weekend at Crossways Camping Ministries' Imago Dei Village's Junior High Blast!
